Ile Perrotis no better or worse than other associations I've seen. They look to find volunteers to evaluate players and I think the evaluators try to do a fair job. Few want to stay at the cold ice rink beyond all the hours they are there for their children so it makes sense they wind up accessing that age group. It's not a perfect system, with politics involved, but seems most kids wind up in the hockey level which is appropriate. Most players like to play and are glad to get on the ice.

Try-outs in Ile Perrot are a joke.
The evaluators are given sheets with only player numbers and no names, but the evaluators are the fathers of the kids on the ice. I am not evaluating but I know most kids out there just by the way they look or skate, so the evaluators must too. They are also not suppose to evaluate their own kid but, they are evaluating the kid that their kid might be fighting for a position with, which means they could under evaluate the competition. Often you see two buddies sitting there evaluating each others kids. It also seems that the people chosen to evaluate are the same every year and are part of "the click".

Double letters is even worse. I always find it funny how the last name of players I feel are the weakest seems to be the same last name as someone on the administration.
