Public transit hits the streets of St. Lazare

The off-island town of St. Lazare on Monday took a big step. It started offering residents public transit.Buses started rolling, picking up commuters at stops set up throughout the town, taking them directly to the train station in Vaudreuil-Dorion.It is still not known how many people used the service, but with CEGEP students back in classes, the numbers should be impressive. Parents with teenage kids now have an option other than driving their kids to John Abbott...

Metric Time

OK. It may have started as a one-glass-of-wine-too-many rant; tapping that well of middle-age-white-guy anger about how the-world-is-going-to-hell-in-a-hand-basket. In this case the subject was the metric system.
