Alcan Volunteers Prepare a Feast at Omega Centre

posted by Community Relations at 9h27

A Warm Welcome at the Omega Centre;

Alcan Volunteers Prepare a Tempting Feast!

Smiles, laughter and tantalizing aromas pervaded the facilities of the Omega Centre in Dorval Oct. 1st.

A team of enthusiastic Alcan employee volunteers responsible proved how talented and polyvalent they are. Under the leadership of Alcan’s Diane Paré, volunteers prepared a delicious meal consisting of succulent breaded chicken, tender baked potatoes with choice of butter or sour cream topping, crisp Caesar salad garnished with bacon bits, and a delightful apple crisp à la mode, all as a special treat for Omega’s clients and staff.

Everything was so well organized that one might have assumed that they were all professional chefs with years of experience.

According to Diane Paré, this was, in fact, the first time they had undertaken such a project, but they are planning to do it again.

The volunteers enjoyed the experience, remarking, “It was fun”, “It feels good”. It certainly tasted good and was greatly appreciated.

The gracious host and expert photographer, Omega director, Francis Caporale, volunteered to take photos of the event.
