Agenda:
1. Proposal to organize an Annual Giant Garage Sale For Bargain Hunters on the Saturday & Sunday following Victoria Day Weekend in all municipal districts ideally surrounded by a municipal park with 10% of proceeds from shared registration fees donated to non-profit community groups and charitable organizations.
2. Proposal to organize active Community Neighbourhood Watch Committees in all Neighbourhoods that participate in our Annual Giant Garage Sale For Bargain Hunters.
3. Proposal to conduct a feasibility study on a Wind & Solar Energy Water Park modelled on the Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA Wind Park for development on select Islands of Lac St. Louis between Senneville and Dorval with start-up funding initiated by the City of Kirkland to partner with all 12 West Island Municipalities for revenue sharing from developing and managing the new source of renewable wind and solar energy for West Island Residents.
4. Proposal to organize a Kirkland Fete Nationale on June 23 and 24th of every year at Parc des Benevoles/Volunteer Park.
5. Proposal to organize a Kirkland Canada Day on July 1st of every year in the Rio-Can Mega Parking Lot/Colisee de Kirkland
6. Proposal to offer two recycling pick-up days per week and 1 weekly garbage pick-up.
7. Proposal to offer a Kirkland Volunteer Card appreciation program for registered Volunteers of the Municipality of Kirkland for discounts on municipal, private and public sector services and products.
8. Proposal to develop a dedicated EXPRESS Fast Lane reserved for registered car pools, busses and emergency vehicles only from 6AM to 9AM from the entrance to the Island of Montreal on the North Side of Highway 40 to METRO Cote Vertu in co-operation with the Municipalities of Vaudreuil-Dorion, Notre Dame-de-l'Ile Perrot, Pincourt, Senneville, Ste. Anne-de-Bellevue, Baie d'Urfe, Beaconsfield, Kirkland, Pointe-Claire, Dorval as a lead up to creating a MONORAIL public transit system supported by tolls and photo radar to capture on video traffic law violators along the North Side Service Road from the entrance to the Island of Montreal via Highway 40 to Sources to the Montreal International Trudeau Airport and Vendome Station/McGill University Health Centre.
9. Proposal to improve Neighbourhoods by installing Neighbourhood Community Bulletin Boards for postings by community groups, municipal notices, for sale by owner advertisements sponsored by the Municipality of Kirkland and the private sector.
10. Proposal to install a Kirkland Electronic Information Bulletin Board at the entrance to Kirkland from Beaconsfield on St. Charles and before entering Highway 40 from the North of St. Charles Boulevard.
11. Proposal to support the creation and establishment of a Canadian Aviation & Aerospace National Conservation Centre as major tourist attraction in the Municipality of Kirkland for the manufacture, wholesaling and storage of ultra-light planes, to recycle and conserve heritage planes, satellites, booster and aerospace memorabilia and archival records to promote the tourism industry and to showcase our contribution to the 100 year history of aviation in this region in the Summer of 2010.
