Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Dorval

Dorval Main Streets and Dorval Elementary School, in collaboration with the City of Dorval, are pleased to announce that the eighth annual “Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony”, will take place on Lakeshore Drive at the corner of Tulip Avenue in Dorval Village on Friday, Dec. 7, starting at 5:30 p.m. For this occasion, a portion of Lakeshore Drive between Martin Avenue and Tulip Avenue will be closed as of 12:00p.m.

We invite you to join us to share in the Christmas concert and see the many changes in our village this year. Dress warmly and come on out to this wonderful event which will culminate with the lighting of the magnificent village Christmas tree by Mayor Edgar Rouleau.

Handmade decorations by children of Dorval Elementary School, École Gentilly and our local daycare centres will adorn the Christmas tree and the Dorval Elementary Home & School Association will be fundraising with the sale of hot chocolate and pieces of a giant Christmas log generously donated by Patisserie Fine Chez Gael and students of Queen of Angels Academy will be present to distribute the song booklets.

A food drive will be held during this event and we are encouraging all our participants to bring a non-perishable food item for the Omega Centre, which is located in Dorval.

We hope that everyone can join us for this celebration of the Christmas season. For more information, please do not hesitate to call 514-633-4210.
