**New Program** Family Reading Program

FAMILY READING CLUB (FOR CHILDREN FROM 8 TO 12 YEARS OLD WITH A PARENT) *NEW PROGRAM*
Sundays, February 17, March 17, April 14 and May 19
from 2 to 4 p.m. – Bilingual
REGISTRATION REQUIRED – LIBRARY MEMBERS ONLY
We are proud to offer a brand new reading club: the family reading club! In this activity, the participants can discover new books on a monthly thematic. It will help them develop their critical thinking. Also, one of this activity’s goals is to reinforce the parent-child bond by sharing a common activity, as parent and child read the same book. Discussions around books will be accompanies by complementary activities such as tasting of food mentioned in one of the monthly books and thematic crafts. The theme for February will be adventure. You’ll have to pick one book from the following list and read it before the meeting takes place – the books will be available at the circulation starting in December:

• ‘L’enfant océan’ (Jean-Claude Mourlevat)
• ‘Un si parfait mensonge’ (Dominique Boéno)
• ‘Pirates en Somalie’ (Camille Bouchard)
• ‘Wonderstruck’ (Brian Selznick)
• ‘The Memory Bank’ (Carolyn Coman)
• ‘Airborn’ (Kenneth Oppel)
• ‘Hatchet’ (Gary Paulsen)
• ‘Crash en forêt’ (Gary Paulsen)
• ‘The Maze of Bones’ (Rick Riordan)
• ‘L’énigme des catacombes’ (Rick Riordan)
