Community shred to raise funds for Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation

October 18 in parking lot of the Fairview shoppng centre

Want to shred a few documents ? Want to help raise funds for the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation ?
You can do both on Oct.18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m in the parking lot of the Fairview shopping centre in Pointe Claire.
“It is our hope to get as many people involved in the Community Shred as possible, where for a what-you-can-give donation, we will shred your confidential documents on site,” Sara Murphy, co-ordinator of sales and operations at Shred-It/Securit Montréal, a document destruction and document storage company founded in 1988.
Murphy said adding that the idea to hold a fundraising community shred came after five employees at her company said they would take part in a fundraising Shave to Save campaign, which will take place Oct. 28 at the company’s Ville St. Laurent offices.
“We usually do a community shred for free every year in March,” she said. “SO we thought, why not hold one for a good cause.”
For information about the community shred, call Murphy at 514-939-7473.
