Toddler falls into pool in Île Bizard

17-month-old in critical condition in hospital

A 17-month-old boy is in critical condition at Montreal Children’s Hospital after he fell into a neighbour’s swimming pool in Île Bizard yesterday morning.

There was no fence around the pool, Montreal police said.

The incident “has all the appearances of an accident,” Constable Yannick Ouimet said.
