Watch out for phoney U.S. cash

The Sûreté du Québec is warning Vaudreuil-Soulanges store and business owners to be careful when accepting U.S. money, as a number of counterfeit bills have been circulating.
Stores in Les Coteaux and Vaudreuil-Dorion have reported receiving counterfeit American $20 and $50 bills during the past week.
Police say they have a description of at least one suspect from the Vaudreuil-Dorion incident. Sgt. Jean-Charles Filion said the suspect is a black man.
Detectives are not sure if the same person or people are responsible for both off-island cases.
No arrests have yet been made.
Similar U.S. counterfeit money has turned up recently on the South Shore, Filion said.
