Teens face fines for partying in old Senneville tower

More than 20 teenagers found out the hard way last week that
the old Senneville tower in the woods off Senneville Rd. is private
property and not a place to party.

The teens, who were partying there on May 12, were each ticketed by
police and fined $144 for trespassing.

"It's not a safe place to party, especially when you're young and
intoxicated," said Montreal police community relations officer J.-P.
Levis.

Levis said people in the neighbouring area called police when they
heard noise coming from the property.

Groups of teenagers partying at the tower have become a bit of a
problem lately, he said.

Police are hoping the $144 tickets will act as a deterrent.
