Sentencing arguments are to begin May 3 for Dave Ouellette, 25, who pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing the death of Murielle Chauvet on Île Bizard in August 2006.
Chauvet, 43, was bicycling when Ouellette mowed down her while driving a stolen SUV.
He also pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and theft of a vehicle. A charge of manslaughter was withdrawn.
Chauvet's husband learned of his wife's death when he went to look for her after she failed to return home. After he came upon the crime scene on Bord de Lac Rd., police told him of his wife's death and asked him to identify her body.
Ouellette had stolen the vehicle at a nature park.
