Police chase ends in arrest, seizure of contraband tobacco

Sûreté du Québec and Montreal police seized 1,000 kilograms of contraband tobacco and arrested two men after a high-speed car chase from Vaudreuil to Montreal last week.
The pursuit began on Highway 20 in Vaudreuil during the evening on June 2, said Sûreté Sgt. Éric Ouellet
“Police tried to intercept a suspicious looking pickup truck,” Ouellet said, explaining the truck stopped, but the driver took off again when officers approached the vehicle on foot.
The chase that led police to Montreal, ended after the suspects drove over a nail bed that police had put down near Highway 13.
