Guy Lafleur must take in son as he awaits trial.

Guy Lafleur's son released from custody

Ordered to live at hockey legend's Île Bizard home

Guy Lafleur must take in son as he awaits trial.

Mark Lafleur, the son of hockey legend Guy Lafleur, has been
released from jail on strict bail conditions. Quebec Court Judge
Jean Sirois ruled yesterday that Lafleur, 23, could leave the
Rivière des Prairies detention centre.

Lafleur was ordered to live at his parents' Île Bizard home to await trial for
the last of a series of charges he faces: assault of a man while
Lafleur was in detention this spring. That case resumes Sept. 12.
Lafleur also has

to obey a set of conditions imposed Wednesday by Quebec Court Judge
Serge Boisvert. Last week, Lafleur pleaded guilty to 14 charges
arising from crimes committed against his ex-girlfriend. The
pre-sentencing hearing in that case is scheduled for Nov. 24.
