Thirty-two minors were hauled out of Bar Chez Maurice in St. Lazare on Monday during a police operation.
More than 40 Sûreté du Québec officers entered the popular nightclub at about 11:30 p.m. to verify patrons’ identification.
Police say close to 700 clients were in the bar.
Twenty-eight underage girls and four boys were transported by bus to the SQ station in St. Clet. Parents were called to pick up their children at the police station.
The minors were each ticketed for being in a licensed establishment.
In a similar operation in other off-island bars, police found nine underage patrons at Restaurant-Bar Chez Grand’Ma in St. Zotique last Friday.
Officers said there were close to 40 other patrons in the bar when they walked in at about 11:30 p.m.
