An all-candidates debate in the Lac St. Louis riding takes place next
Tuesday (Sept. 30).
“All of the candidates running in the riding have confirmed their
presence... ” said Karin Essen, president of the Beaconsfield Citizens
Association, which organized the debate.
The event will bring together Liberal incumbent Francis Scarpaleggia,
Conservative candidate Andrea Paine, New Democratic Party candidate Daniel
Quinn, Green Party candidate Peter Graham and Maxime Clément of the Bloc
Quebecois.
Broadcast journalist Dennis Trudeau will moderate the debate.
Essen said candidates will answer questions from the public.
“This is an excellent opportunity for voters to get to know their
candidates... and a good occasion for the candidates to communicate with
the electorate," she said.
Admission is free.
The debate takes place Sept. 30 at Beaconsfield High School Auditorium, 250
Beaurepaire Drive, Beaconsfield. Doors open at 6 p.m. Meeting starts at 7
