Arson suspected in Lachine fire

Police suspect a fire at a home on Fifth Ave. on May 6 might have been deliberately set.
Firefighters called police to the scene “when they noticed certain details that could lead them to believe that the fire may have been of a criminal nature,” said Montreal Police Constable Martin Desmarais.
“The house was completely ravaged by the fire and a neighbour’s home was partially damaged,” Desmarais said.
No one was injured. The investigation continues.
