Youth charged for making threats

Station #8

A 15-year-old Lachine boy was arrested last week after threats were made against two school employees.
The incident began May 7 at 8:45 a.m., when a school employee chastised the boy for wearing a baseball cap, which is against school rules. Police refused to identify the school.
“At 12:45 that day, the same employee once again saw the boy wearing his cap,” Desmarais said. “When (the employee) took it away, the student threatened to hit him if he did not return the cap.”
The boy was suspended and left the school. The boy returned to the school grounds and was threatening students, Desmarais said, adding that when a school monitor approached the boy, the youth took a golf club out of his pants and threatened to hit the monitor. The boy was arrested the next day.
