Police net three in snowmobile operation

Police from Station 3 issued three tickets Sunday during a police snowmobile operation in Ile Bizard.

In all, said Montreal Police Constable Daniel Maheu, 64 snowmobiles were stopped. Of those, one ticket was issued because the person at the helm of the vehicle was 13-years-old, under the 16-year-old minimum age. The owner of the vehicle faces a $500 fine,said Maheu. Two $100-plus costs tickets were issued because those drivers took to the streets rather than staying on designated trails.
