Dollard teen to be charge with stealing scooter

Station #4

A 16-year-old Dollard des Ormeaux boy will be charged with theft in
connection with the theft of a scooter.

Montreal Police Constable Chantal Castonguay said the incident took
place May 15 when a 17-year-old boy reported that his scooter and
helmet had been stolen from the parking lot of his high school.

Police on patrol soon spotted four young men near the school at the
corner of Churchill St. and Sources Blvd., one of who was sitting on
a scooter and who had a helmet that matched the description given to
them by the high school student.

Police questioned the boys and found that while the helmet did
indeed belong to the high school boy, who had reported it stolen,
the scooter did not. That scooter had been reported stolen May 8
from a home in Dollard des Ormeaux.

Not long after, police also found the scooter that had been stolen
from the high school parking lot.

Castonguay said the Dollard boy will be charged with theft.
