Thieves break into backyard sheds

Station #8

Two backyard sheds on a Lachine street were broken into last week.

Montreal Police Constable Stéphane Hunault said the first break-in
took place some time between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. on June 7 on 13th
Ave.

"The shed was locked but someone cut the lock," Hunault said.

A motorized scooter and tools were taken.

The next night, two bicycles were taken from another locked shed on
the same street. The door had been forced open.

"Although both sheds were locked in these cases, people should also
consider adding more security measures such as movement sensor
lights," Hunault said.
