Woman finds would-be thieves in her car

Station #8

A 58-year-old woman who parked her car in a municipal parking lot while she went for a bicycle ride along the waterfront in Lachine last weekend was startled when she returned to her vehicle and was confronted by two thugs trying to steal her car, police said.
The incident occurred at about 3 p.m. July 26 in a lot near Réné Lévesque Park. When she returned to her vehicle, police said, she noticed two men sitting in the front seat of her 2002 Mazda Protégé.
The would-be thieves – two men in their 30s – scrambled out of the vehicle and fled in another car parked nearby.
