Man mugged outside workplace

Station #4

A 22-year-old man was mugged and threatened at knifepoint recently as he left his workplace in Dollard des Ormeaux.
The victim, a Pointe Claire resident, had just left his workplace near Brunswick Blvd. and Davignon St. at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 3 when a man came up to him, asking for a cigarette.
“The (victim) was taking a shortcut, using a lane between two buildings when the first man asked for the cigarette,” Castonguay said.
“That’s when a second attacker came up and grabbed the (victim) by the collar ...  and they began to pummel the (victim) on the chest and face.
“Then, they threatened the man at gunpoint and made him get down on the ground,” she said. “That’s when they took his wallet, jewelry and other items.”
The man did not call police until Aug. 6, three days later.
