Armed men break into St. Laurent office

Station #7

Four men who burst into the offices of a communications company on Côte de Liesse Rd. in St. Laurent brandishing guns last week have been arrested.
Montreal Police Constable Pierre Fauchier said two were arrested on the spot, two others soon afterwards.
“I don’t know how long it took for the last two to be arrested, but it was during a police investigation, which is continuing,” Fauchier said.
The incident began at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 29 when four men, all believed to be under the age of 20, burst into the office and ordered everyone to the floor, Fauchier said. He did not say what kind of guns they were carrying and how many of the four had weapons.
“Luckily, one employee was able to take refuge in a closed office and that employee called 911,” Fauchier said.
When officers arrived on the scene, employees began running out of the building. Police made one arrested at the scene and another following a brief foot chase down Côte de Liesse Rd.
Two thieves fled the scene in a car stolen from the employee parking.
Items taken from the company – iphones, Blackberrys and cash – have not been recovered.
