Cars set ablaze

Station #7

Four cars were set afire last week in the old section of Ville St. laurent.
Montreal Police Constable Pierre Fauchier said the older model cars were parked in the area around Roy and Gohier Sts.
“In some cases, leaves and accelerants were used to light the fires near or under the cars,” he said adding that police and firefighters were called to the scene at 4 a.m. on Nov. 1. “Three of the cars were totally destroyed.”

More than 500 children passed through a Halloween haunted house last Friday night set up at Ecole Henri Beaulieu in the Chameran area of St. Laurent. “It was a great success, with everyone having a happy and safe time,” Fauchier said adding that event was organized by school officials, police and a local community group.
