Dollard man arrested

A 25-year-old Dollard des Ormeaux man was arrested early Saturday attempting to steal beer from a dépanneur on the Trans-Canada Highway service road.
The incident occurred at about 1 a.m. when a man entered the store and walked to the beer refrigerators. Another man stood by the door, watching. Suddenly, the man at the fridge attempted to run out of the store with beer. The cashier stopped him and called police.
The cashier managed to keep the thief there until officers arrived.
The accused faces an armed robbery charge.
The second man fled to a waiting car.
