Police now have three of four suspects sought in the kidnapping of a Lachine teen on Oct. 16. The three have appeared in Youth Court and are facing a slew of charges, among them: abduction, forcible confinement, extortion, assault with a weapon, robbery, car theft and conspiracy. A Montreal police spokesperson said the three are still in custody because of the severity of their crimes.
Last week a 17-year-old boy was taken from the corner of 45th Ave. and Victoria St., forced into a car and beaten while being driven around for two hours. He was eventually dumped in a garbage container in Dorval, hog-tied and suffering from head injuries. He managed to get free and call 911.
Two of his assailants, both 17-year-old males and familiar to police, were picked up the same day. On Sunday, Oct 21, a third man, also 17 years old, turned himself into police. The fourth male, also 17 and known to police, is still at large. Police are looking for a dark-skinned male, 6 feet tall and thin who lives in the area where the boy was abducted.
