A popular Pointe Claire location for walking and enjoying an unobstructed view of Lac St. Louis is now off-limits as crews work to stabilize the shoreline in Edgewater Park just east of the Pointe Claire Yacht Club.
The Lakeshore Rd. park’s boardwalk has been removed so that crews can fortify the banks of Lac St. Louis with new retaining blocks. That work is being carried out by PNG Projets d’Aménagements Inc. and, is expected to be completed sometime in November.
The second phase of the $250,300 project will be completed next spring. It will entail new plantings to landscape and restore the park’s shoreline’s vegetation.
Ginette Brisebois, a city of Pointe Claire spokesperson said the work is being done to ensure the shoreline remains intact for generations to come.
