The West Island Health and Social Services Centre will provide flu shots at six locations, from Nov. 6 to Dec. 22. Each centre will be open, on a rotational basis, Tuesdays to Saturdays, between 12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
You must bring your medicare card with you and the vaccine is offered free of charge for pregnant women, in good health, in their second or third trimester, seniors at least 60 years of age, the chronically ill and children ranging in age from six to 23 months old. The vaccine protects people against three different influenza strains and is not a repeat of last year’s vaccine.
