Maintenance on a reservoir commencing Friday night may affect drinking water in Kirkland, Baie-d’Urfé, Dollard-des-Ormeaux and northern Ste.-Anne-de-Bellevue as well as all the industrial park of Pointe-Claire for a couple of days both this weekend and again next week.
Pointe-Claire, which supplies potable water to much of the West Island, will do work on a reservoir that involves a shutdown of a booster station on Friday, Nov. 2, from 8 p.m. up until Saturday, Nov. 3, at 8 a.m. and then again next Friday, Nov. 9, from 8 p.m. up until 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10.
A drop in water pressure will be felt by residents living in Baie-d’Urfé, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Kirkland and northern Ste. Anne de Bellevue as well as the entire Pointe-Claire industrial park.
If residents notice yellowish or brownish tap water, they should let the cold water run until it clears up.
For more questions, people can call Pointe-Claire’s engineering and water treatment department at 514-630-1208.
