Pierrefonds-Roxboro councillor quits Union Montreal

Christian G. Dubois is now sitting as an independent councillor.

The representative for Bois-de-Liesse in the borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro was one of six councillors to quit the Union Montreal party last Wednesday, which resulted in the party losing its majority on the city council. Dubois quit 10 days after former Montreal mayor Gérald Tremblay resigned following allegations of corruption and less than 24 hours before former chair of the Montreal Executive Committee Michael Applebaum was elected interim mayor.
