Pointe-Claire held off adopting its 2013 budget on Monday as initially scheduled.
Since Montreal agglomeration figures were still pending, pro-mayor Morris Trudeau announced Pointe-Claire would be adjourning its special budget meeting until next Monday at 7:30 p.m.
“We may have to make some alterations to our budget. This is the reason we are postponing it,” Trudeau explained.
About 45 per cent of Pointe-Claire’s $130-million 2012 budget was destined for agglomeration charges.
Last week, Kirkland also announced it was rescheduling its budget meeting to Jan. 7 from Dec. 10 as it was awaiting budget details for regional costs from the agglomeration.
The Montreal agglomeration budget and three-year capital program are to be officially tabled on Thursday afternoon.
