The Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation has announced its annual gift-wrapping fundraiser amassed $38,000 over the holiday season. Foundation officials thanked the dedicated volunteers who did the wrapping and the thousands of West Islanders who supported the fundraising effort.

Gift-wrapping boutiques operated from late November until Dec. 24 at Fairview Pointe-Claire and the Pointe-Claire Future Shop. The money raised will go toward the purchase of new hospital equipment, said the statement released by the foundation on Tuesday.
