The Montreal police arson squad has been assigned to probe an overnight firebombing at a Pointe Claire mattress outlet, on Hymus Blvd. near Sources Blvd.
A window was broken about 12:30 a.m. Monday and firefighters found “traces of accelerant,” Constable Raphaël Bergeron added.
There was also unspecified graffiti found outside the premises.
Bergeron said the damages were considered minor, and the fire burned itself out.
“For the moment, there is no description of any suspects.”
Investigators expect to meet with the owners to try to pin down any possible motives, Bergeron said.
