Police blocked off a section of Pavillon Street in Pierrefonds for several hours that stretched into the morning rush-hour period on Friday following a car accident that occurred around 2 a.m.
According to police, a car driven by a 21-year-old Pierrefonds woman hit a tree along the street, and then ran into a house. The vehicle then burst into flames following the impact.
The driver was administered a blood-alcohol test at the scene, said Const. Dominque Grenier. The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.
