Lady Islanders volleyball team spikes competition

The John Abbott Lady Islanders posted a perfect 4-0 record at the CEGEP volleyball tournament held Sunday at Collège Ahuntsic.

The John Abbott team earned promotion to Division 1 play next tournament after beating Ahuntsic (25-16, 25-15), Dawson (25-22, 25-12), Maisonneuve (25-18, 25-21) and André-Grasset (25-20, 19-25, 15-8).

Victoria Waizmann led the Lady Isles with 42 kills and 11 digs.

Alanna Roszkowski, Kendra Lillico, Joanna Ongyun and Roxanne Dubé also delivered strong performances.
