Palmer sprints to silver; sets McGill record

Despite setting a McGill school record, Hank Palmer of Pierrefonds had to settle for a silver medal in the men’s 60-metre sprint final at the 15th annual McGill Team Challenge track and field meet on the weekend.
Palmer, a first-year public relations student, was edged by Sherbrooke’s Ben Youssef-Meite, who set a McGill Fieldhouse record of 6.73 seconds to capture the gold medal.
Palmer was clocked at 6.78 seconds, breaking his own McGill mark set last December.
