Friday fundraiser a hit

The 94.7 Hits FM hockey team beat the Lakeshore refs 8-4 on Friday in Beaconsfield, but the big winner was charity.

A total of $1,000 was raised for the Otis Grant and Friends Foundation. Included in that amount was $500 earmarked for the Haitian relief effort.

A big assist also went out to Scott Meehan’s peewee A Lakeshore Jaguars, who also contributed to the fundraising effort.
