Abbott team ready to play baseball

The John Abbott College intercollegiate baseball team is set to play ball.
The Isles play a season-opening doubleheader against Collège Laflèche this Saturday afternoon in Pierrefonds. First pitch is at noon at the George Springate Sports Complex.
On Sunday at noon, the Isles play another doubleheader in Pierrefonds against Carleton University.
The Islanders are seeking a third consecutive winning season under manager Marc-André Côté, now in his seventh year at the helm.
Collège Laflèche in Trois-Rivières is a new entry in the Northern Division of the Canadian Intercollegiate Baseball Association.
McGill, Concordia, Ottawa and Carleton round out the Northern Division.
