Tigers win two games on the weekend

posted by LSLTIGERSGM at 8h56

The Lac St. Louis Tigers played two games on the weekend. Saturday, the Tigers travelled to the Barbeau Arena in Gatineau to take on the Intrepides.

The Tigers opened the scoring early with captain Nick Impellizzeri scoring a minute-35 into the first. The Intrepides tied the game at the 10:01 mark of the first, but Jordan Durand gave the Tigers the lead for good at 14:15 of the first.

Antonio Roumeliotis scored at 2:57 of the second, followed by Stefan Momesso's first of the game at 11:25 of the second.
Going into the third, with a 4-1 lead, the tigers then got two quick goals from Vincent Theriault before the Intrepides were able to reply.
Michael Davilla added a goal at 15:04 of the third and then, the Tigers and Intrepides both exchanged goals before the game finished with Momesso scoring his second of the game.

Fabio Colias was the winning goalteder.

Sunday, back home at Complexe Sportif Saint Raphel in Ile Bizard, the Tigers played host to the Conquerants de Basses Laurentides. The two teams had met on the previous Saturday and that game finished in a 2-2 tie.

Sunday, the Tigers seemed more focused and scored 1:27 into the first. The goal, a combination between Antonio Roumeliotis and Michael Davilla, with Davilla finishing off with the goal, put the Tigers in the lead.
But the Tigers started to have penalty trouble towards the middle of the first and the Conquerants were able to capitalize, taking a 2-1 lead into the second.

The second period was the demise of the Conquerants as they had a steady stream of players to the penalty box and the Tigers capitalized with goals from Sam Noreau at 0:27 of the second, Holden Anderson at 6:59; Michael Davilla at 7;29 and Jordan Durand at 7:51.
The Tigers wet on to win 5-2 and Frederick Vandal was the winning goaltender.

The Tigers visit the Seigneurs de Mille Iles on Sunday, Oct. 12, at Boisbriand arena. Faceoff is at 14:30.
