Jamie Scholefield of Senneville was scored the winning goal as the McGill men’s university soccer team posted a 2-0 shutout victory over UQTR on Sunday at Molson Stadium.
Scholefield, a senior management student, put McGill ahead 1-0 in the 23rd minute after he received a pass from captain Thomas Lucas of Kirkland and booted a 45-yard shot past goalkeeper Pierre-Alexandre Boisvert.
Afterward, Scholefield was named McGill’s MVP of the match.
