At about the 8-minute mark, the Tigers settled down and started to take the play to the Blitz with a strong demonstration of give-and-go passing.

As both team went to the dressing room between the second and third, the Tigers led 3-1.
As the third period began, it was clear that the Tigers were not going to be denied the victory. The Tigers continued to pressure the Blitz. Timmy Daigneault deposited a Phil DiGiacomo pass behind the Blitz goaltender at the 8:03 mark of the third period.
The Blitz elected to regroup with a timeout and responded with a goal at the 9:47 mark.
