Coré wins golf tourney

Jamie Coré of Beaconsfield captured the Royal Oaks Invitational golf tournament on Sunday in Vancouver, Wash.

The 19-year-old University of California freshman shot a sizzling 5-under-par 67 to finish the 54-hole event with a 7-under 209 total, one stroke ahead of Erik Hanson.

The event attracted more than 200 of the top amateur golfers in the U.S.
