The John Abbott Lady Islanders basketball team defeated a JAC women’s alumni team 62-36 on Friday at the Therese Casgrain gym in Ste. Anne de Bellevue.

Leading the way for the Lady Isles was Veronica Vaickus with 16 points, followed by Haley Scott with 10 and Joy Bermillo with nine points.        

Meanwhile, the John Abbott men’s basketball team beat the alumni 106-46. 

Rookie Charles Miller was Abbott’s top scorer with 19 points.

Ian Jones had 17 points and was named Game MVP. 

  Ricardo Monge added 15 points, while Shan Sinnathurai collected 13 points. Timothy Rickard and Sony Noel had 10 points each.
