Lakeshore has unveiled its new sweater logo.
The minor hockey association, which represents Beaconsfield, Kirkland, Bai d’Urfé, Ste. Anne’s and Senneville, issued this communiqué explaining the new logo.
“Over the course of the next few weeks, as you make your way around the arenas, you will notice a new look for some of the Lakeshore jerseys. We have started the phasing in of our new jerseys. The jerseys will be replaced over the next 3 years. This year, all the Double-Letter teams as well as the Junior and Midget levels will be using the new look jerseys. Hockey Feminin, Bantam and Peewee will get new jerseys next year and the Atom and Novice levels will get new jerseys in 2 years.
We have made some subtle changes to the look in the hopes of reflecting the spirit of the organization.
Gone is the generic cat and the retro lace up collar.
The traditional red, white and blue color scheme as well as the traditional design remains.
The new look features the bold presence of all our teams’ namesake “The Panther”, a more stylish pro V neck collar and a slightly more futuristic font that compliments the new logo.
The Panther, of course, represents the entire big cat family of Lakeshore team names and not simply the double letter program.
We believe that the new look reflects the composition of our membership: players, coaches, managers, officials, volunteers and the overall spirit of the organization as an one that is strong, bold, and powerful in numbers and spirit, both now and into the future”
