The Vanier Cheetahs captured the Bol d’Or on Saturday with a 25-19 win over Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars in CEGEP football’s championship game.

Quarterback Hugo Richard completed 23 of 37 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Cheetahs to victory. He also rushed 14 times for 51 yards to help Vanier win its fourth Bol d’Or in the past seven years.

Bryce Vieira, Etienne Moisan and Dev Lamour caught TD passes from Richard.

Alexandre Savard was Vanier’s top receiver with seven receptions for 91 yards.

Jean-Gabriel Poulin anchored the Vanier defence with 10 tackles while Kyle McGregor had 7.5 tackles.
