Two top players from the West Island Royals bantam AA team – defenceman Michael Campoli and forward Hunter Moreau – have been selected to the Quebec under-15 teams that will compete this week in Chicoutimi at the midget espoir tournament.
The two Quebec U-15 teams will play each other Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Centre Pierre Lavoie to begin the tournament which runs from Nov. 22-25.
Campoli will suit up for Team Blanc, coached by former Canadien Pierre Sévigny, while Moreau will play for Team Bleu, coached by Sébastien Bordeleau.
Campoli and Moreau are both 1998-born players with Kirk Mullin’s bantam AA Royals.
Another midget espoir tournament takes place in Châteauguay in February.
