If you‘re looking for something fun to do this Saturday, other than pulling dandelions from the lawn, you might want to check out the fifth annual Montreal Media Celebrity Hockey Marathon at the Excellent Ice mini-rinks in Kirkland.

The all-day affair runs from 7: 30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and has once again attracted an impressive lineup of local sports celebrities.

Suiting up for some wild 3-on-3 action are former NHLers Shawn Anderson, Bobby Dollas, Daniel Marois, Sergio Momesso, Igor Kravchuk, Bill Campbell, Daniel Goneau and Claude Lapointe.

They will be joined by former Alouettes Glenn Keeble and George Martin as well as Olympians Kim St.Pierre, Charline Labonté, Nancy Drolet and senior women’s national team head coach Peter Smith.

The showcase all-star game takes place at 5 p.m. with Réjean Houle dropping the ceremonial puck and Jean Perron volunteering as the ref.

Former boxer Otis Grant will also be on hand with organizers from 94.7 Hits FM radio station who stage the benefit event for the Lakeshore General Hospital.

Best of all, admission is free.
