Enjoying Euro 2008?

Well, young local soccer players are invited to score a Golden Goal of their own at a skills competition being held Sunday, June 29, at the Catalogna Soccerplexe in Lachine.

The competition is open to male and female players from under-13 to under-16. Another category is for older players: under-18 to senior.

Registration is at 8 a.m., followed by a skills competition (passing, dribbling, shooting) and other activities.

The real Euro 2008 final will be broadcast on a giant TV screen at the Soccerplexe in the afternoon.

Registration is $10 per player, with proceeds going to a worthy cause.
