If you’re good enough, they’ll find you:.Chapter 113.

A few people wondered why Kirkland’s Louis Leblanc opted to play another season of midget Triple-A hockey for the Lac St.Louis Lions after scoring a league-leading 31 goals as a rookie two years ago,

He notched another 54 goals this past season and the scouts at Hockey Canada noticed, Which explains why the 17-year-old Leblanc was the only midget hockey player in the country invited to the national under-18 summer evaluation camp in Calgary. The other 39 invitees are juniors.

If Leblanc is selected to the final 22-player roster, he’ll represent Canada next month at the 2008 Memorial of Ivan Hlinka tournament in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

As for next season, Leblanc will play in the United States Junior Hockey League, before entering Harvard in the fall of 2009.
