Tim Hunter, an all-star basketball player at John Abbott College, is headed to Bishop’s University next fall.
Hunter is a 6-foot-7 inch forward who averaged 9.5 points and eight rebounds per game this year for the Islanders of the CEGEP Triple-A Basketball League.
Hunter also averaged two blocks and two steals per game, and was named to the league’s All-Star Team.
“Tim has excellent versatility as a player,” said Bishop’s Gaiters head coach Rod Gilpin. “He is a terrific passer and has good ball-handling skills for someone of his height.
He becomes the second former-Islander on the team. He joins Kevin Selman, who last season was named to the Quebec University Basketball League’s All-Rookie team.
